WILLIAM FILLMORE SCULPTURE

FORGOTTEN PAIN

Painted Stoneware

21in x 15in x 14in
2019

Forgotten Pain, this piece began as a sketch in 2016 and came to the front of my consciousness in the Fall of 2019. The piece represents all of the pain and rejection experienced in one life-time, but forgotten and embodied. I have been thinking and writing about existentialism and the futility of life. This piece allowed me to embody the stubborn nature of living everyday in spite of the inevitability of suffering pain and eventually dying.
