In 2015, I spent 6 weeks in Medellin Colombia as an artist in residence at the Campos des Gutierrez. The time spent was productive and enlightening. During my stay I was invited to participate in LAB 48, an exhibition, lecture, and workshop series sponsored by the Colombo Americano. I was able to not only produce and experiment with my own work in the studio, but I also had the opportunity connect and collaborate with local college and university students through ceramic workshops and artist lectures. My time in Colombia was both formative and unforgettable
